The mighty Tryfan mountain, one of the most famous and recognisable peaks in Britain, having a classic pointed shape with rugged crags. At 917.5 m above sea level it is the fifteenth highest mountain in Wales.
From the West the top of Tryfan looks like a face looking up, with the mouth on the left then the nose and eyebrows, from the East a fin shaped mountain of rock and boulders that provides a exciting scramble several hundred metre high.
