The Anglo-French STD (Sunbeam-Talbot-Darracq) combine collapsed in 1935. The French Talbot company was acquired and reorganised by Venetian-born engineer Antonio Lago and after that, the “Talbot-Lago” name was used internationally. On the home market the cars still bore the Talbot badge they had carried since 1922, which was when, in France, the “Talbot-Darracq” name had given way to “Talbot”. At the same time, the British interests of Talbot were taken over by the Rootes Group and the parallel use of the Talbot brand in France and Britain ended. Talbot-Lago cars sold in Britain were now to be badged as Darracqs.1925 Dodge Four Tourer1935 morgan 1000cc From 1910-1952 the Morgan Motor Company sold a huge variety of different three-wheeler models. The Iris cars were luxury vehicles with large, water-cooled four-cylinder in-line engines. A striking feature of all models was the diamond shaped radiator grill. Here are a few vintage numbers
The Fairey Swordfish was a biplane torpedo bomber designed by the Fairey Aviation Company, used by the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy during World War IIVulcan bomber farewell appearance at the Rhyl Airshow 29th August 2015 before it retires from public displays in September. Avro Vulcan XH558 , The Spirit Of Great Britain is the only airworthy example of the 134 Avro Vulcan V bombers that were operated by the Royal Air Force from 1953 until 1984. Vulcan XH558 served with the RAF between 1960 and 1985 in the bomber, maritime reconnaissance and air-to-air refuelling roles. The RAF operated XH558 as a display aircraft from 1986 until 1992, when budget cuts forced its retirement.The last Hurricane ever built (of 14,533), PZ865 rolled off the Hawker production line at Langley, Bucks, in July 1944 with the inscription ‘The Last of the Many’ on her port and starboard sides. For many years the aircraft appeared as ‘The Last of the Many’ but eventually the inscription was removed and put on display in the BBMF headquarters. In 1996, replica 20mm cannons, funded by the Lincolnshire’s Lancaster Association, were fitted to ‘PZ’ to restore the aircraft’s appearance to that of a Mk IIC Hurricane. In November 2010, PZ865 was sent to Duxford for major maintenance and refurbishment. The South African Class NG G16 2-6-2+2-6-2 of 1937 is a steam locomotive from the South African Railways era. Between 1937 and 1968 the South African Railways placed thirty-four Class NG G16 Garratt articulated steam locomotives with a 2-6-2+2-6-2 Double Prairie type wheel arrangement in service on the Avontuur Railway and on the Natal narrow gauge lines.Austin 7. Produced from 1922 until 1939, one of the most popular cars ever produced for the British market, and sold well abroad.
